S_W_Z_K - a slight rebrand - named after a flyer design for a club we played in Warsaw .

This album was a on a heavier minimal techno tip produced by Brown and Richard Davis in London and Berlin . Bass heavy and taken from several loops JST and DB had worked on with the plan for a new swayzak album .

Life got in the way and JST had to call it a day . Brown continued alone ....

Richard Davis has lived in Berlin since the 1990s and Brown often visited , he was never very keen to leave and frankly should have stayed . The references are to Berlin trips , Syrian war and his father's death in 2011 . A very tough time but a fantastic record was made !

Recorded in Eagles wharf, Hackney London which Brown called home .
Mixed at Apotheke , Neukolln Berlin . We then walked down Paul Lincke Ufer to the famous D+M to master it .

In the mastering with CGB we got a call from the store below the mastering studio . The legendary Hardwax were asking if the bass could be turned down .

Probably our finest work since 1998 thats the opinion of the artist .

A truly remarkable album! I'd like to add that this is one of very few albums that I think truly sound better on vinyl, as it only enhances the intended experience. Every little bit seeps with atmosphere, like watching a dystopian, heavily grainy, space movie with ships surveying distant planets. That goes for the artwork as well, to which I'm sure everyone can agree, is the perfect marriage of both sound and visualization. Here's to hoping there'll be a 2846! Trisska
