A tribute to Pete Shelley , who passed away 6th december 2018 .Music I first heard on the john peel show , The Buzzcocks - the first band i went to see live with my buddy keith 5/10/1979 two newly turned teenagers , The Buzzcocks were supported by the unknown to us Joy Division . This concert had much impact not least the dancing of Ian Curtis. The demonic music that set the mind racing and the heart pumping . Recorded from my 7" collection - all music that stood out for me , punk , new wave , ska , soul , early electronics from the peel show bbc radio 1 the only place you could hear such magic . for all my friends and music lovers - db december 2018 x
