my tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto , recorded as a demo 5 years ago I used the chords from the classic forbidden colours and a small part of the vocals written by David Sylvian . I since forgot and reworked into something else but felt this demo was a fitting tribute to a great influence who I was honoured to once meet. A very strange meeting as aphex twin was waiting behind me with pen and record sleeve :) I wasn't sure whether to introduce them but I thought surely Ryuichi must know Aphex Twin . Anyway a hug influence very sad to hear of his death this week . I first heard of him he was playing with Japan and not YMO .....Forbidden Colours 12" still sits on my shelf .
